Adjuatment - short lead time

It was adjustment day again?? Ya.. I know.. The lead tome is so short.. Only two weeks!!! Lol bit it was good enough for my backup teeth to move to the front..

And I was already having two bites.. One is when I can close my bite with my back teeth infront; and second bite with my back teeth behind..

Ortho said he gonna slow down my treatment now since I have suffer quite a bit and I guess too fast is not a good thing either.. And there goes my 'targeting within one year'. And he also told me that I have really sensitive teeth that reacts really fast.. So.. Ya ya ya.. Slow down..

Basically, lower set of teeth is on full powerchain and focusing on closing up gaps.. And upper row is to get my backup teeth out (which is already half way through).

 

 

 

 

Pain Die Me!

ahhhh... just came back after adjustment!

Ortho lifted my jaw really high this round; because he commented that the cushion he created for me the last time, it is almost gone.. haha.. So he give me a "BIG lift"

I am in terrible pain now.. Image later...

5th Adjustment (Edited)

This is the weirdest adjustment I ever will encounter.. Why? Haha I'm given something call cushion.. Which is some sort of clay/ceramic again that will lift my jaw up so that my back-up teeth could move to the front!!!

Now I can forget about eating all my cravings in Hong Kong! But I didn't wish to wait any longer for my teeth to be perfect because Doc says base on my progress.. My treatment can be complete in a year.. Which means by this year 2011!!

That is the only thing I'm super looking forward to.. So.. This round I was given cushion, bottom row gonna move back to close all gaps.. And upper backup teeth is to move to the front..

Shall go home and take some pictures and upload it separately..

Great movement!!! Thats what Dr said... He even had plans of bonding my 'backup' teeth and start moving in to the front.. But he said it will be really tough for me and it's festive season, he don't wanna torture me...

Therefore, you will find an ultimate long powerchain on my top row of teeth cos Dr wanna create more space for the back teeth.. And the most irritating part of that back teeth is what?? I won't be able to close my mouth entirely until it has successfully cross over.. Gosh!!

However, that wouldn't happened till next adjustment.. Lol

3.5 adjustment?

Well, this should have been written last week but I was simply too busy celebrating New Year!! Lol

Anyway, after having springs for about 10 days.. Doctor decided to remove it since it has given him enough space...

Why did I go back in the first place?? It was all because of the metal ring!!! It got loose and cut into my gum when I chew my food on the right side.. So I though of heading back for a quick fix...

But who knows?? It went so well.. That doc decided to remove the springs, put on powerchain to close up the extracted tooth gap.. Of cause its to make even more space later to move that tooth from the back... Excited!!!

And it was super amazing when doc said I'm only on Becky for 4 months and my progress has been really good!! Does that mean there will be a higher chance that I can complete my treatment in less then a year???

Can't wait for my perfect smile!!! :)

3rd Adjustment

I skipped my adjustment for two months~ This allowed my jaw to have lots of rest so that I can eat, chew and yawn properly.

Right this moment, I seriously feel that my mouth and teeth together they are being pull right apart!!!

And Dr Lim places two super obvious springs to enhance the space so that the wonder "backup" teeth can start moving to the front... I have popped a Nurofen 15 mins ago and it doesn't seems to be working.. Gosh~ This time, he also used my best friend aka Powerchain to close the gap of my lower front teeth (after what powerchain caused to my jaw, I still have to bear with it)

Jaw not pain...

Alright... Haven't been updating becky's blog.. But that's because I was told to skip one appointment to rest my jaw...

Indeed, it seems like the problem is due to the powerchain.. And without it.. I have been eating a lot more then the initial three months...

Becky is not giving me any problem... But I'm going for my appointment this thur which I'm not sure if my jaw had rested enough... Am I ready to have the powerchain on again?? :( I just got back my appetite...

Let's see what doc says and shall keep you posted...

Becky's Second Ajustment

Love my iPhone simply because it allows me to blog anywhere I go.. Lol

Just finish my tightening session.. Was telling Dr Lim that I have been experience a really stiff jaw for the past two weeks.. There are good days when it doesn't hurt and i can open my mouth properly... But most days it's bad; can't chew, jaw semi-locked and many painful experiences...

Seriously, I was panic worrying it could be TMJ...

Anyway, I identify all my problem to Dr Lim and he checked my bone; see my X-ray and said.. It's not that bad.. Nothing wrong with the jaw bone.. So it's the muscle that is giving problem.. Cause of it?? Unsure.. Since it could be the fast progress and stress given on my teeth.. Could be my life stressing up or my wisdom tooth.. Haha there is one which is impact, so I will have to remove it sooner or later.. Just the matter of time..

I felt so relieve when I was told it's not the bone!! That's the serious part to tell ya the truth.. Phew~

So.. The temporary remedy was to slow down the progress.. No powerchain.. No rubber band.. And observe if it gets better...

The exciting part is... By Xmas my lower set of teeth would be straighten.. Hee that's good news.. Not so good news, upper teeth are moving really slow.. In fact, they hardly move.. :( just gonna be patient over it...

Another good news... Since nothing is being put on to stress my teeth to move fast.. The tightening wasn't that tight... But was still told to take soft food because of my jaw..

Stained!!!

Ahhhhhhh~

Had a cup noodle "Seafood XO sauce"... Stained my powerchain.. now it is bright yellow.. lol

Gotta live with it for another 3 weeks before going to see Ortho.. eeekkk

Compare? Week 6

I need a good sleep.. But...

Did not manage to sleep well last night... I think I got up a couple of times due to the uncomforted feeling of Becky being tighten.. Or could it be the additional four new brackets that had been installed???

Well, this morning I am still able to eat some bread but knowing that won't last me too long.. So drank a glass of soy milk to fill myself up...

Let's see how long this soreness shall last??

Hmmm... Been two hours since my tightening session... No special feeling and I even had my dinner...

Weird =/

Anyway, Dr Lim changed my wired (he reuse the top wire and place it on my below set of teeth instead) and changed a thicker stainless steel wire for the top...And he kept mumbling "gives me better control"... LOL

Anyway, it is a happy day!!

One Month Comparison

Been awhile since i last update about Becky~

Well, everything is good and my first adjustment is on Thursday evening!! Totally excited about it..

When is my first adjustment??

Becky is coming into her 4th weeks already... Is suppose to have my first adjustment this week but due to the fact that I'm traveling this week; I gotta delay my appointment.. Unfortunately, the following week, Dr Lim is not in town... So I ended up have to push my adjustment to the 6th week... WTH..
